Sports Club OCR is an Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) club located in Vallentuna, just north of Stockholm. We have many happy members of all ages who enjoy training and competing together.

We are an independent OCR club that is open to everyone. Our club is affiliated with the Swedish Athletics Federation and the Swedish Sports Federation. Our bylaws (in Swedish) can be found here.

Our training primarily takes place in the fantastic indoor obstacle course at Sports Club Vallentuna, with over 120 obstacles of all difficulty levels. Sports Club Vallentuna is also the club's main sponsor.

As a member of our club, you will receive:

• Competition license for participation in sanctioned OCR competitions nationally and internationally, such as the Swedish Championships, European Championships and World Championships
• The right to compete for SportsClub OCR in our competition outfit
• 50 SEK discount on daily admission to Sports Club Vallentuna (for those who do not have a gym membership at Sports Club Vallentuna)
• Insurance (Valid only for kids up to the age of 16 - read more here)
• The right to vote at the club's annual meeting if you are over 16 years old
• Lots of #ocrlove 😍.

The annual membership fee is 50 SEK for both children and adults of all ages.

OCR stands for Obstacle Course Racing and means just that. The sport requires both strength and stamina, and to become really good, it also requires good grip strength and good obstacle technique.

OCR can be done both indoors and outdoors. Most competitions take place outdoors, often with a running distance between 5-15 km and 15-40 obstacles. More extreme competitions also exist, such as 100m sprint, 24 hour race and ultramarathon.

Examples of obstacles can be high walls to climb over, rigs with various hanging grips to pass through without touching the ground, rope climbing, crawling obstacles and sometimes even water obstacles. Watch the video below for a good introduction to our great sport.
